Changes To Units[edit | edit source]
Rise to Power changes the values of units to make it more realistic and have the need of a diverse army setup. See chart below:
Learn How To[edit | edit source]
Start As A Lowborn[edit | edit source]
Selecting a character | |
---|---|
Start off by selecting a character to play as, and feel free to use Ruler Designer DLC if you have it. Go into games rules and pick the options what you like begin as, and other options as well. |
Verify your new status | |
---|---|
Move To A New Province[edit | edit source]
Get A Job[edit | edit source]
Become Noble[edit | edit source]
Shed your bastardy plight | |
---|---|
![]() There is only one path to the ranks of the nobility from this unfortunate set of circumstances. Once the world has heard of your great exploits, a noble in your realm will offer you the opportunity to become a member of their noble house. You must have at least 500 prestige and then after some time the adoption event will fire and you can finally rid yourself of your status as a bastard. |
Books! | |
---|---|
![]() If you are just a lowborn and not a bastard then you fare just slightly better at breaking through to the next social tier. In order to ascend, you first must know how to read. Attempting to learn to read is something your character will do automatically, and hopefully before you die you will learn. |
Stake your claim |
---|
![]() As a non-bastard lowborn a you have the ability to claim nobility status of your house, but in order to do so you must have a proven track record. Once you have 400 prestige the decision to Claim Nobility will be available in the intrigue menu. If you have the required prestige and you are a learned person (i.e you can read) then you may elevate your house to the nobility rank. |
Start A Mercenary Company[edit | edit source]
Fight, fight, fight |
---|
![]() The first part in starting your own mercenary band is having the adventurer trait. Your character may gain this trait by participating in either your liege's wars or in foreign conflicts. There are random events that will fire that will count as progress towards gaining this trait, "Call to Arms", "Invasion", and "Great Holy War" (needs verification). Once, you have participated in 5 of these events you should gain the adventurer trait. Note: that if you are if you are attempting to gain this trait through the events, you should not accept requests from anyone to be appointed as a commander as this seems to reduce and potentially eliminate the chances of these event from firing. |
For blood and glory |
---|
![]() So you want a be the baddest Mercenary company around huh? Well if you have determination you may have a shot at being mercenary captain. Being a Landless noble or lowborn you need two things to form a mercenary company first is the adventurer trait and second is gold, 400 gold to be specific. If your landed baron or count the only way to become a mercenary is through the intrigue society at the 4th rank. Now you how do I fill my ranks you ask? What about that money though you needed to start this company? Well that start up money allows a passive recruitment with a random chance of 25, 50, 75, or 100 troops once per year. Once you reach the 250 volunteers you will be able to receive Mercenary Contracts. Note however some contracts are more lucrative than others. Once you accept a contact those volunteers are gone and you need to go recruit again. Note you can hold accepting offers by clicking the not for hire button. You can also raise your volunteers for your own battles whenever you reach 250. Note that landless mercenary companies are capped at 500, barons at 1000, counts at 1500, and dukes at 2000. IF you landed mercenary company things are similar yet different too. You still have to raise volunteers but you no longer have the option to move, so choose you first holding wisely. However you do get a nice button you called search for volunteers. This will recruit volunteers in all the holdings you control once every 2 years. That is basics of Mercenary Companies now go and make some glorious profit. |
Start A Holy Order[edit | edit source]
Deus Vult! |
---|
![]() In order to found your own Holy Order, you must first possess one of the above crusader traits for a particular religion. In order to gain a crusader trait you must do one of the following: 1) join an RtP crusader event 2) participate as a levy in 2 Holy Wars started by your liege 3) join the regular vanilla Great Holy War event. |
Become a true defender of the faith |
---|
![]() Are you tired of those infidels of that heretic religion? Well then it is time to raise your weapon for your religion and form a glorious Holy order for your religion. To do this as a landless character you need three things. First you need the your religions holy warrior trait (i.e crusader trait), 200 Gold and lastly 200 Piety. If your landed baron or count the only way to become a Holy Order is through the Learning society at the 4th rank. How you how do I fill my ranks you ask? What about that money though you needed to start this Order? Well that start up money allows a passive recruitment with a random chance of 25, 50, 75, or 100 troops once per year. Once you reach the 250 volunteers you will be able to recieve Holy Contracts. Note however some contracts offer more Piety than others. Once you accept a contact those volunteers are gone and you need to go recuit again. Note you can hold accepting offers by clicking the not for hire button. You can also raise your volunteers for your own battles whenever you reach 250. Note that landless holy orders are capped at 500, barons at 1000, counts at 1500, and dukes at 2000 troops. |
Acquire A Holding[edit | edit source]
Petition your liege | |
---|---|
![]() Once you have climbed the social ladder an achieved the rank of Noble you are now able to purchase an available holding. In order to purchase an available holding you must currently reside in a settlement inside same the province as the holding (see Move To A New Province). From your Liege's profile you can right click on the county title icon and the option to purchase a holding should be available. For any landless noble purchasing a holding it will cost 600 gold, for landless holy orders it's 500 gold, and for mercenary companies it's 700 gold. |
Dueling For Tribe | |
---|---|
![]() So you want to rule Tribe? Here is what you need: 500 Prestige, Player is a landless Noble, Target Tribe needs to be neighbor your location, Target Tribe has to be independent and target tribe has to be a count. If you have these things you can challenge that Ruler. Note, you will only get one tribe from ruler who has more than one |
Religious Uprising | |
---|---|
![]() Do you want to takeover over those heathen lands? Here is how you can get your righteous zealots to take those lands. You need to have Zealous Trait, Landless, Need 50 piety to recruit zealots, and at least 1 group of zealots to join the religious uprising (max of 4 groups also Each group of Zealots are 500 light infantry so a max is 2000 light infantry). Once you have the zealots they will ready to be called on whenever. However if you character dies they will disband and have to be rehired over again. Move to region you wish to take over and raise those zealots. If successful you will become the government in conquered area. the zealots will disband at the end of the uprising. |

However, this option isn't one to be taken lightly and is most certainly something you would play when your in back is against the wall.
