Note - as of the latest patch, the "inherit_chance" in found within 00_traits.txt for congenital traits. By default, it is "50" for dwarf and "25" for the other congenital traits. Presumably, these are the percentage chances for inheriting the trait. Therefore, the complicated and unknown probability of inheriting a congenital trait, mentioned in the Breeding and Breeding Guide articles, is out-of-date. I'm not sure of the optimum way to update these articles, so I merely make note of the data here. Purgatoryness (talk) 02:08, 3 November 2012 (CET)

Contradicts with Traits page[edit source]

Lot of info in this page contradicts with Traits page, which one is out of date? Coledash (talk) 14:05, 20 August 2013 (CEST)

I'm pretty sure it's this one that's obsolete.
I updated the stats by checking in the game itself and looking at the game files (1.7.1). As far as the guide itself is concerned, my knowledge there is limited and I would not be able to contribute substantially. Someone else might want to update it if this article is still deemed valuable. Artaios Greybark (talk) 18:48, 26 May 2017 (CEST)

What is the EXACT formula for pregnancy?[edit source]

The page states the chance of pregnancy is FERTILITY_BASE_MULT = 0.5. What does this mean? It clearly doesn't mean that every day there is 50% that the woman gets pregnant. So is there a daily tick for woman to get pregnant? Is FERTILITY_BASE_MULT multiplied by the man's and woman's fertility? What is the exact math used to determine pregnancy per day or event?

-I think it literally means 0.5 percent chance. However it can also be multiplied by different factors. -A CK2 N00b

Confusion about inbred chance[edit source]

I noticed some confusion on the subreddit about the 0-10% chance. Some people thought it meant that having at least 32 unique ancestors would have a random chance between 0 and 10 of being inbred.

Should this perhaps be changed to something like 62-32 ancestors, to fit in with the other entries and make it more obvious where the 0 and 10% chances are coming from. Swaggernagger (talk) 16:47, 17 January 2019 (CET)
