Crusade call conditions[edit source]

There should be a note about the mtth for crusades and that MA needs to be above 50 or whatever it is right now.

Crusade Weight?[edit source]

The article has a list of crusade "weights" but does not explain what it actually is. This should be elaborated.
-Done. Sorta. Anyone wanna clean it up, be my guest -- 00:41, 26 November 2013 (CET)

The crusade weights aren't up to date. 19:18, 24 December 2013 (CET)

Start pagan great holy wars[edit source]

The Norse faith is reformed and both Christian Crusades and Muslim Jihads are unlocked, but I still can't declare a great holy war as the Norse head of religion, so there have to be other requirements before it is unlocked.

This may be because the events have a MTTH of 120 months, so it may take in average 10 years to fire once the criteria are met ? Romulien (talk) 19:39, 13 June 2014 (CEST)

Crusade Target Weight location[edit source]

Where are the crusade target weights listed in the game files? I'd like to have a go at editing them. 16:08, 5 February 2015 (CET)

I believe it is in the same location as the landed titles. Just look at the title section. Try the Crusader_Kings_II/common/landed_titles folder. RedSilver (talk) 00:19, 6 February 2015 (CET)

Note about participating as vassal[edit source]

As a vassal duke to a king, I participated in a crusade for Jerusalem, and was awarded the victor's prize - which turned out to be the Duchy of Jerusalem, not the Kingdom. Don't know why I wasn't granted the whole Kingdom. Possible that the Crusade target did not control enough of the de jure Kingdom to form the Kingdom, so only the Duchy was formed? --10 December 2016

Crusades target kingdoms. Is it possible that the crusade was called against a character who only controlled the Duchy of Jerusalem, and someone else controlled the rest of it? Compassionate727 (talk) 20:42, 11 December 2016 (CET)
If the list is to be believed, they can also target a few counties, a couple of empires, and a lone(?) duchy. How does the control requirement play out for them? 22:36, 30 June 2017 (CEST)
As far I can tell, crusades etc. only ever target kingdoms, but smaller or larger targets can affect which kingdom is targeted. For example, if the entire Kingdom of Jerusalem is controlled by Catholics, except the County of Jerusalem, which is controlled by a heretic, the Pope may call a crusade for the Kingdom of Jerusalem: except the target isn't the actual king of Jerusalem, but the count who controls the County of Jerusalem. The war will usurp that county as well as any other land that ruler may happen to hold that's also in the Kingdom of Jerusalem, so the target is still the entire kingdom, but the war was still only triggered by the single county (or duchy). Playing as HRE, I've been confused before by Popes calling crusades for targets I held: this seemed to be what was happening. Compassionate727 (T·C) 17:06, 13 October 2018 (CEST)

Orthodox Crusade weight?[edit source]

Were Orthodox countries supposed to get Great Holy Wars at some point? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Silesian Burd (talk) 03:18, 19 May 2019‎ (CEST)

Lost land from won crusade?[edit source]

I was part of a crusade targeting Seljuk for the Kingdom of Arabia, and when we won the crusade with me having the highest participation and being a self-serving crusader I did gain all Seljuk's land in the Kingdom of Arabia, but Seljuk gained all of mine and even some not in that region? Can someone explain what happened here?
